One of the strategic objectives of Tears to Smiles is to continually put a smile on the faces of children.
After meeting the staff and children of the Elephant Ward, which takes care of children suffering from cancer, Miss Lilian Onwughara, Project Manager of Tears to Smiles, presented a donation to Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. The cheque was received by the Development Manager, Mr Jason Longbottom.
The Executive Director of Tears to Smiles, Mr Emeliem Okwuadi stated in a press release that giving is a part of the charity’s community services to alleviate suffering: ‘We have [also] donated gifts to Kidsafe and BBC Children in Need as a way of conceptualising a strategy to enhance our functionality’.
The organisation is in the process of developing projects that will engage needy and sick children in activities that will put a smile on their faces.
We also campaign for warm homes and help households within Barking and Dagenham Council to meet their energy bills, by sourcing for available funding to provide necessary assistance.
